At the same time, the undeniable and important advantage of the small map is saving real time. If you have to resort to maneuvering on it, the game usually lasts for more than 2.5 months; on the 8mm map, it's scary to imagine. After all, it's naive to expect that there won't be anyone who wants to play until the last hero. And its imbalance is somewhat exaggerated (who likes to restart until they get a perfect start? - sorry, it's not about the template).
The average game duration on the 8mm6 map was 21 days, that is, 3 weeks. The longest game lasted about 6 weeks. I didn't calculate the statistics for the small map; it's about the same, maybe a couple of days less.
The point is not in the template, but in the style of play. Those who want to sit and grind will play for 2 months on many templates.
