imo, it seems a bit unfair.
Although, of course, it turns out to be interesting, but it's not fair.

Let's say you planned which faction to use in the first round of the playoffs.
And in the end, you might not even get to play with it in the tournament.
And all because of what?
And because someone dropped out of the tournament; there are no other reasons.
imo, could it be done differently?
If you planned it, then let the person remove the unnecessary one themselves?
At the very least, state the arguments why you didn't do it this way (the owner decides, not randomness).
