As far as I know, the difference between the English 1.1 and Buku versions is only in the terrain on the battlefield. Therefore, the map will only require selecting specific battles. But how do you do that? Because any player can make any battle difficult if they want. Or should you check all battles when generating the starting save? The lead organizer wouldn't envy this task. However, with a large number of battles, this aspect seems to become less significant. It is necessary to only prohibit switching between versions during the playthrough, but how to control this, I honestly don't know. The only thing is to check the saves before battles, with explanations from the player about how and on which version they did it. If both Buku and non-Buku versions appear, then the result should be annulled.
