Antivirus software is essential for safe internet browsing.

Yesterday, I encountered a virus that wouldn't let me access the internet (it would disconnect my connection after about 30 seconds and create some strange, fake z-connect). I started scanning my computer with Avast. It did detect some kind of Trojan, but it couldn't do anything about the virus. I used my phone to access the internet, did some searching, and found a way to access the internet despite the virus. All I had to do was reconfigure this z-connect as my default connection, and it worked. I also read that Norton catches this virus without any problems. I downloaded it from a torrent, and – lo and behold! – the virus was caught almost immediately after I connected through my usual connection. So, for now, I've decided to stick with this program. Also, while I was looking for solutions (by the way, there were quite a few of them online), I found out that neither NOD32 nor Kaspersky detect this malware. It's true that this virus has been around for a while (since spring), so maybe things have changed since then. But Avast turned out to be useless, which disappointed me.
