Treatment
As a therapy against life-threatening arachnophobia, behavioral therapy has proven effective, as it does with all other phobias. Confrontational therapy is the primary method. The treatment involves the patient directly confronting the cause of their fear – the spider. They interact directly with the spider, even to the point of touching tarantulas or spiders of the same size. It is very important to endure and overcome the fear, so that later they can say to themselves: it wasn't that scary after all. If the source of fear is avoided, the phobia may only intensify. Many people who previously suffered from phobias, after successful treatment, keep spiders as pets (hypercompensation of fear).
Areg, by the way, here's a Theraphosa blondi.
