Piterius (Tower, Stronghold) def. NEO (Tower, Castle)
Took ranged attack, water, and defense.
Bears, Birds, Cyclops, Titans, Nagas, 57 Mages, and 2 Djinns, so that the ballista wouldn't kill an entire stack at once.
NEO took offense, defense, and earth, and spent all his resources on the main artillery.
Titans, Nagas, Djinns, Mages, Archmages, Champions, Cruisers.
Mass Camelskin and Archmages attacked the Titans. Then, NEO's Titans approached my Titans very closely, and his Djinns cast Fire Shield on the Titans, which was unpleasant but tolerable. My two Djinns removed the counter-attack from the Archmages, and the Bears helped them. While the main forces were moving to my positions, my ranged units inflicted significant damage in the early rounds, but the game wasn't finished.
1-0
Piterius (Rampart, Dungeon) lose NEO (Rampart, Dungeon)
Here, both players took offense, defense, and water. I had Pegasi, and NEO had Medusas, which decided the outcome. My initiative was punished with a warm welcome under the Blessing spell. I hoped for Blindness, gradually eliminating one stack in each round, and there was still a chance to turn the tide, but in one of the rounds, I got distracted and made a mistake, blinding the second stack in front of his ballista. As a result, mass destruction occurred, and it was a matter of technique.
1-1
Thanks for the game.
That's how it was.
In the first game, I tried different strategies and overdid it. Titans with ranged attack in the right corner are almost invincible, and if they are also protected by gray bears with Blessing, it's simply unreal. I wanted to take Berserkers with a Shaman, but some advised against it :smile22:
In the second game, I decided to play with equal castles so that pure tactics would decide the outcome. Both players had water, and I decided not to take boots of resistance... Later, I regretted it, receiving "unpunished" Blindness in each round. There were still mistakes. In the first round, I left 9 Dendroids for my opponent, which he placed in front. And in the second, in a hurry, I removed the counter-attack from the Champion of the Dungeon without flying my units to the other side, and only the Cats could help, but the Dendroids couldn't :( . But the Cats had another task - healing (they were blinded in the first round) while moving their Minotaurs, which remove the counter-attack from the opponent's Minotaurs, and the Cats add to it, neutralizing the powerful stack of these monsters. After that, only the superior number of Dragons posed a threat, but the rest of my troops were practically intact and defeated the Dragons. The second mistake was the lack of casting in a round due to Blindness, but the wait for the Dragons in the following rounds solved this problem.
Thanks for the games!
