But he'll play well, and if he gets a little lucky, it'll be satisfying to beat Gosha, especially with Inferno.
Let me summarize what was well-written here, adding a few things of my own.
1. Use diplomacy! A bunch of upgraded vampires and a few skeletons can't compare to an army of archangels and various dragons. And the one who finds and levels up a diplomat faster and gathers money for an army will win. Or you can make peace (like Dirty and Forrest, if I'm not mistaken).
If there's no diplomacy, it will be tough...
2. Choose the red color – you'll have a better chance of being on top, and the Necromancer will be at the bottom.
3. You need early secondary castles with lots of hiding spots. Ramps are better – they have stronger units, castles often have many hiding spots, and dungeons are also not bad. Necropolis and Fortress secondary castles are useless for Demonology. Swamps, rocks, and snow are bad because of the penalty; to beat the Necromancer, you need to move quickly! =)
4. In my opinion, it's easier to start with Pyre. Two great starting skills that you need to level up as soon as possible, plus try to get armor and earth; air would be good too, but then it depends on luck – sometimes you can even get magic and intelligence.
5. It's unlikely that you'll gather a stack of demons that is equal in strength to a stack of skeletons... But gathering them to take control points, hives, and ruins is quite possible. And since these objects are usually located randomly, everyone has a chance! =)
6. If you have an advantage (in your opinion), whether it's in stats, magic, or a powerful stack of angels or vivs, don't be afraid to go and defeat your opponent. Courage wins cities, including Necropolis.
7. In general, you should move faster than your opponent – i.e., rush or gain control earlier, as already mentioned. Recently, I had a game where I took the Necropolis castle on day 117 and settled there, although it was with Kirra. But Pyre could have done it too! =)
8. If you get a couple of Necromancers in the tavern and a couple of artifacts for necromancy, I would think about changing your profile.
But who knows what might happen; it's all random.
Good luck to the brave! :)
