Solmyr, Demeer, and Aislin are cheaters (and/or) kamikazes; do the rest have a right to exist?

On some popular templates, magic units are actually very strong. As well as on many fixed templates.
Check the reports; if they are truly that strong, why aren't people playing them? Fairly speaking, magic units should be as effective as melee units in 50% of cases.
