Is 3D necessary in Heroes 3.59?

In Heroes, you can always remove an unnecessary ingredient. If I only like scrambled eggs with salt (commanders and level 8 units), then I'll only choose that, but if I want to add some sausages (unit levels) to it, that's up to me.

The point is that, if desired, you can remove or add any feature you like from any part of the game. But if so much work has already been done, then they should still be compatible and playable when all of them are enabled. In Heroes, however, something unreal and completely uncontrollable happens.
