Did the graphics of Heroes 3 not deter you from wanting to play?

Personally, I find the graphics in Heroes 3 appealing, while the graphics in 4 and 5 are less so (they just don't seem as good). However, I started playing the third game when it was released, and at that time, the graphics were top-notch. I think the topic of this discussion is primarily aimed at those who are only now seeing Heroes 3. They might be put off by it, and on that note – do chess players care much about the "graphics" of the chessboard and pieces? Do poker and other card game players care much about the "graphics" of the cards?
So, young, smart, promising, and energetic people – start playing Heroes 3, and may they achieve the same status as chess and poker, or even surpass them!
