On day 111, I spotted an Elven mine near the Castle, but it was behind some mountains. I only reached it towards the end of the week, and it took another half a week to return. One road led to a place with up to 50 wood resources, and the other led somewhere into the snow – I decided that's where the Guardian was and didn't go there. It turned out my secondary objective was there, and the Guardian wasn't on the road. I shouldn't have built a Castle on day 117. I had a lot of troops, but little money, so I couldn't buy them out. My opponent usually arrives early anyway, and even more so on the road.
