Which units would you replace in the Sylvan castle?

You need to replace the dragons with earth monsters so that they throw stones properly.

I don't quite understand, what are these "earth monsters"? And I doubt that "earth monsters" would fit harmoniously into the ranks of the High Elves. It doesn't seem quite right, in my opinion.
