I agree, this isn't for online play. There's a 10% chance of losing the battle and the game.

I think this is exactly the kind of situation where the risk is worth it because the enemy has 3+ units, which need to be taken out early in the second phase, and that's difficult without angels. I would take the risk in a real game.
