I didn't test it extensively with demons; I entered the portal with 6 Pikemen, 4 Swordsmen, 2 Champions, and, of course, some Archers.

The application is accepted.

I remember that in my battle, I couldn't prevent 2 Swordsmen from being killed, as they stubbornly refused to attack the Spearmen, of whom there were about 14 left after the Demons.
