I still don't really believe in surveys for participation; it's better to send out invitations directly. But again, it depends on how the organizer of the qualifier decides to do it.

For example, I'll start by contacting all the people who have always come to my tournaments.
We already have participants: Lexa, Alexgrid, Mizrael, Scorp, That one..., Reper, and hopefully Sticky. I'll participate myself, not to reach the final (in my opinion, it's difficult to play, judge, and organize at the same time), but just because I miss it; I haven't played in the club for a long time, and I'll participate out of competition and to increase the prize pool.
We have 8 people, and I'll contact some of my friends from other cities to form the minimum required number (10-12 people) for the tournament, so it can definitely take place.

After that, we'll announce an invitation for all those who want to participate, with the rules, probably around the end of September. That's basically how the qualifier is ready, and that's how I've organized all the previous offline tournaments.

But you in St. Petersburg might have your own specific ways of doing things, surveys, organization, and deadlines.

Now, let's assume that the qualifiers have taken place and we need to hold the final; which version should we use? Something tells me that if we don't decide on this issue now, it could cause a lot of problems later (to put it mildly).

To be honest, I don't like TE as much as TE players don't like SoD.
I respect the game's creators and don't doubt that it's a great game, but I just don't like it. Nevertheless, I understand that for a unifying tournament, where all Heroes fans can participate, compromises are needed.

Therefore, I will support TE-light for the final. This is the minimum that both TE players and SoD players can accept. There are extremists who want to bury the version that goes against their beliefs. But, like all extremists, they will be in the minority, and I think that most people will accept a neutral option for all parties.

But each qualifier will be held on its own version.

We still need to write the regulations first, and then hold the qualifiers; otherwise, nothing will work out.

It would be good to finally decide on the number of qualifiers. I was really counting on the Minsk Heroes players; they have a rich tradition of club tournaments, and on the Ukrainian players. Friends, if anyone has contacts with Gorbik and Portal, please ask him for help in organizing a tournament in Kyiv.

And it would be good to find the coordinates of SAG; it seems to be the only chance to hold a tournament in Moscow.
