And I can't imagine a driver who sees ALL the signs on the road, lane markings, assesses the speeds of oncoming and passing cars, traffic lights, barriers, pedestrians, and so on. Nevertheless, there are very good drivers, and there are those who are just so-so... So, the former are simply experienced and intuitively assess the situation. Stop them, ask them, and they will tell you how everything was and what wasn't... Over time, the need to "calculate" all the details disappears... But knowing them won't hurt...
