Since I fully trust the honesty and integrity of the organizers, I don't object to using pre-made maps. And to level the playing field between those who know the map and those who don't, you could allow the latter to have THREE restarts instead of two. This way, the first player simply scouts the map themselves, and then everyone is on equal footing.
