Just copy the shortcut and add /nwc to the launch path.

"D:\Heroes\Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete\heroes3.exe" /nwcgrail
This is how I do it in Heroes of Might and Magic III. The same should work for Heroes of Might and Magic II, just use nwc. Don't forget the space!!!
