Freud really wrote (if I remember correctly) a rather thin book, well, and articles..
The Lord of the Rings is a three-volume book, and if you add The Hobbit and Silmarillion, it turns out to be quite impressive.
Dune is not a small book, and if you take all the expansions... I think even Tolstoy wrote less. :D
