I would describe the internet, personally, not so much as a drug, but rather as a substantial form of idleness. One or two hours a day would be enough for me to visit a forum two or three times, respond where necessary, and browse the news on several websites. But I usually spend much more time online, and it all boils down to excessive, pointless chatter (although that's not so bad), refreshing forum pages, visiting long-forgotten websites, and so on. However, spending time online greatly stimulates a real addiction that I developed about a year ago, namely, music. That's the situation.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
