Not necessarily. From personal experience: sometimes messages don't reach me, and sometimes my messages don't reach the recipient.
Sending messages to someone who is offline is a 50/50 chance. It's not necessarily a bad idea, but it shouldn't be presented as a strong argument.

Also, I just noticed - why did I get 0.5 (in the match against SpiriTT), when I asked for technical support?
