Never mind this story; they could come up with a new one for the 6th installment.

That's exactly what they did with the 5th game. They took the old factions from the 3rd game (with a few exceptions) and, overnight, to avoid looking completely ridiculous, invented a new world. It's a familiar story of wanting to pass off someone else's work as your own.
Many people fell for this trick.
Therefore, statements with the general meaning of "Ashan is the best" only make me smile.
