Sacred Haven of Debauchery

Well, I'm not really doubting that I'll get into the university I have in mind; I'm just applying to our polytechnic as a backup. I'm submitting documents for a not-so-popular program called "Photonics and Optoelectronics." Does anyone have any idea what they study there? :D
