Prince (Blue, Castle, Valessa, Valessa) def Avern (Red, Rampart, Ivor, Ivor) 2SM4d(3), 1-4-2.
Started long ago, but only just finished playing.
1-1-1 Archers built, 23 from the start along with the hero from the tavern. Huge respawn. Native secondary in the south. GO almost in the center of the map, then a horde of sorceresses, a bit higher up many queen nagas. Plenty of gold and resources, I decide to build Angels on the first week.
1-1-7. Angels in the citadel.
1-2-1. Castle, but without cavalry.
1-2-5. Native secondary, not really built up. Never built cavalry until 1-4-2 because of wood shortage.
Leveling at the respawn. Got Logistics, then Tactics and Earth Magic, but didn't max anything to expert. On 1-3-4 I see Red capturing a naga bank within a day's march of my castle with Pegasi, Wyverns, and cavalry. Turned out there was an external dwelling of unicorns, not just one!, but only the one closest to the castle was taken. Without much thought I attack, after all I have the Ring and Cape of Speed +4 Angels, 60 Archers, 12 Monks, and meat shield. First battle I win without losses, killing all the Wyverns and 2/3 of the Unicorns. Then I follow the path Red came from. I take the GO of queen nagas after rallying the rest of the army, then on the way I take a Pandora's Box for 5000 XP + a recruit of unicorns, and on 1-4-2 I attack an empty castle. No unicorns, but the rest of the growth is in place. I sit in the castle for a day replenishing mana, then I leave and attack a scout with the growth. Surrender follows. Ivor was too far away.
