Good day to everyone, I present to your attention an interview with the well-known - Invisible...
Before starting the dialogue itself, I would like to say a few words about why I decided to resume the conversation with Sergey...
Firstly, this is the interview by Nagan with Alex R on our forum...
Secondly, Invisible has earned it. For those who are out of the loop, read on...

SEM_56
Hey, wanna play??

invisible
Hi, not today, we played until 7 am…

SEM_56
I see, you're busy, can't you find 20 minutes??

invisible
I can…

SEM_56
Great, I'm just helping Nagan with the Heroic Stories thread on the World...
I'd like to interview you, what do you say??

invisible
I don't count myself among the truly legendary heroes players, so there's no point in interviewing me. Sorry…

SEM_56
Well, Sergey, if you're not a legend of this world, then for the World you definitely are.....

invisible
But in that thread, there were first the legends of this world, which I understood was Nagan's intention

SEM_56
Well, he slightly deviated from the topic by posting an interview with Alex...

invisible
And then it'll turn out interviews will be with just anyone…

SEM_56
We're talking about our site now, and who if not you, that is, half of the top threads were created by you...

invisible
In short, will there be many questions?
Damn, I haven't written anything yet, but I'm already disgusted by what will happen, I dunno, I'm not a legend, so it will look pathetic and disgusting…

SEM_56
If you don't want people to know about the person who made a huge contribution to the World, I won't write....
And in some part, maybe not a legend, but a significant enough figure that even after your departure from our resource, you are talked about almost daily, and I'm no exception....
I've sent many newcomers your tactics for taking the cons for Dungeon...
And I myself learned to play it a bit thanks to your advice...
I won't be offended if you refuse...

invisible
Ok, let's do it, but just a little…
Just keep in mind, I'll write it as it is)

SEM_56
great, 5 questions will do??

invisible
Yes

SEM_56
1. How did you get into Heroes, what was the hook??

invisible
It was about 6-7 years ago when I worked at a commercial firm. One day I saw one of my employees playing Heroes 3, before that I had never seen it and was immediately interested. I installed it on my computer and ran to his office with various questions. I didn't have a computer at home, so I only played at work. After about a year, it got a bit boring because playing against the computer became uninteresting. Then I started going to clubs occasionally and playing on LAN, and interest returned. When I got a computer and the internet, I began searching for various forums and reading them. I read almost all the reports on Heroes League, Heroes Bay (by the way, I learned to play thanks to their reports!) and at first was very surprised by their level of play, but couldn't play with anyone because I couldn't set up the TE they mostly played on. Then I stumbled upon HW, played in Adelaide's tournament and got really into online games, playing for days on end, which my wife strongly disapproved of)).

SEM_56
2. When you came to Heroes World, how did it happen that the most active sections (seasonal games) and their rules were written specifically by you??

invisible
When I came to HW, I was full of enthusiasm and energy. One player with the nickname SS-D created a thread proposing organized rating games. By that time I had already read up on all these matters and supported the idea, as did many other players. I started harshly criticizing various proposals put forward by SS-D, and we almost had a quarrel over it, as I recall)). When Sergey told me that all I could do was talk, I volunteered to organize the rules. The rules were not written by me. They were based on the rules from HP, and I (and not only me - many players helped, including vbn, Dekontaminator, Evgeny) only adjusted them as we saw fit. SS-D wrote the rating formula, and that's basically how rating games started on HW. That was a bit off-topic, a more expanded answer))

SEM_56
3. How did you manage to develop the seasonal games so significantly, given that many resources can't compete with the number of players we have??

invisible
Honestly, we didn't expect such an effect ourselves. Many factors influenced the popularity of Seasonal games. Firstly, at that time there was practically no online play: only the "Seasons" tournament, run by Adelaide twice a year. And the number of users on HW was the largest among all Heroes forums I knew. Secondly, online games are not just entertainment, but also a kind of cybersport, and any sport needs a stimulus. In this case, the fight for first place. Thirdly, it was interesting to share your online achievements with others, which was reflected in reports. I personally love reading beautiful reports and have read hundreds, maybe thousands of them in my life)). Plus, a bit of promotion in other sections of the forum also bore fruit. Players from other resources started visiting HW (particularly from HP as the closest forum in terms of game version). Then Nagan-4 came and brought the Tambov crew with him . Much more could be written on this question, but IMHO these are the main criteria.

SEM_56
4. Personally, Sergey, how would you characterize Heroes 3 and specifically on the World, i.e., just a hobby, a crazy desire to show off, or a search for something new in an, so to speak, ancient game???

invisible
Hobby + showing off..
That's my personal opinion)

SEM_56
5. Why, after all, do veterans leave and leave greenhorns like me without support??

invisible
That's life: some leave, and others come

SEM_56
Got it, thank you so much for the interview, I had to cheat a little, sorry...
It took longer than 20 minutes...
And special thanks for the advice you gave me, such a noob...
I hope you won't forget your home forum

invisible
You're welcome, although I still feel uneasy, because I never considered myself someone worth interviewing))

SEM_56
I think so, purely IMHO…

Honor and glory to those who managed to leave a trail, followed by entire armies!!! (A. Macedonian)...

Thanks Sergey once again and Message from invisible;179207
