Tournament Committee - general questions.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey; there were over 30 participants. We discussed a lot in ICQ, and there were some very interesting ideas. Often, completely opposite opinions were expressed. We tried to find a compromise solution and take all wishes into account. Summary: 1. The prevailing opinion is that too many awards under the avatar are not needed, as this will devalue them. However, it is possible to award prizes to the winners (2nd and 3rd place) depending on the number of participants (e.g., more than 30) and the tournament regulations. This will be further refined when discussing the Tournament Rules. 2. The idea of awarding prizes by category was supported. Here's what we came up with: ANNUAL NOMINATIONS WITH AWARDING OF AN AWARD UNDER THE AVATAR (determined by voting of HW users in January of each year for the past year): PLAYER (criteria - active play, successful participation in tournaments, victories, and authority; in short, the pride of our forum). NOVICE (criteria - registration on HW without experience in online HOMM3 games, significant progress in the game during the year, achievements on our forum, active participation in games, tournaments, and forum life). FOR CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HEROES MOVEMENT (candidates may include tournament organizers, active forum members, game promoters, "coaches" (i.e., in the words of KostyaN, those whose educational posts with advice, tactics, and screenshots have helped the most and are most memorable), developers of various game enhancements, users with rich imaginations who organize all sorts of polls and tests and don't let anyone rest peacefully at the computer, developers and moderators of various rankings and statistics... Thanks to these people, the Game has been alive and has been attracting new fans for many years). For 2008, the discussion and awarding will be conducted by: Novice-2008 - Kash is already working on it, For contribution to the development of the Heroes movement in 2008 - Dirty_Player, Player-2008 - Dubrovin Pavel. RAPER is already working on the design of the awards. There is a suggestion from SpiriTT - in the design of the "Player" award, use the image of George the Victorious - a rider piercing a snake with a spear, and for "Contribution" - bricks, which make up the atmosphere on the forum. Suggest more ideas for implementation or ready-made images. SEASONAL NOMINATIONS "BEST PLAYER FOR ONE OF THE 9 CASTLES". An award under the avatar will not be given; the title will be temporary and awarded for 3 months. It is proposed to have a beautiful signature with a picture (KostyaN suggested a mini-image of a level 7 dwelling from this Castle) at the bottom of the user's messages. The person who is awarded the title places the signature in their profile and enjoys the fact that their favorite Castles are the first to be crossed out by their rivals for the entire next season. The winners here will be determined based on seasonal ranked games.
