2 Joker
No, that's not fairer!
Why should computers play? Do you conduct all battles in single-player mode? It should be player versus player; that's how it would be truly fair. You can easily defeat any level 1 unit, as well as golems and others, with upgraded fairies!
I would move these fairies to third place, after centaurs and halberdiers. And I would logically move skeletons down.
In general, the following happened: 2 phoenixes defeated one archangel (which I generally didn't doubt). The question is whether their unreal growth should be taken into account? This is the only level 7 creature with a +4 growth rate (when in a castle). Then the question arises: why did we take into account the growth rate of skeletons in the first-level ranking? The answer is simple: halberdiers (who took third place) and warrior skeletons received the same score in our ranking, and to determine the best unit, it was decided to place skeletons higher (because of their unreal number in the game for necromancers – I agree that this is not entirely correct, but what can we do? How else can we choose the best unit? If they fight, under different conditions, both will win). But phoenixes didn't claim any other place, so we decided not to take this into account.
P.S. The human factor made itself felt!
