Because it's one thing to perform well in a season, choosing your own opponents, and quite another to play in a specific mode with opponents assigned to you by draw. And most importantly: to achieve success. Competition in the finals and semi-finals is usually very high, as opponents have gone through a certain path to get there, overcoming competitors. I propose the following calculation: 1st place = 4 points 2nd place = 2 points 3rd place = 1 point That is, a player who reaches the final twice is equal to a player who wins the tournament (although the points awarded can be adjusted, but I think this is a good balance). For a novice tournament, you can award half as many points. At the end of the year, the player who scores a certain number of points (e.g., 10) will receive the title of Grandmaster, 6 points = the title of Master, and at the same time, we can compare who plays better in the season and who plays better in tournaments. Creating a separate tournament rating will not require significant effort (you will only need to calculate the results of a small number of participants), but it will encourage participation and achieving victory in tournaments.
