I don't claim to be an academic on Wicca. I'm just sharing my thoughts here on how I try to play during the first week as the Elf race. Because I want to be open to constructive criticism :)

But before that, the weaker heroes scatter in different directions for reconnaissance. At the end of the day, Clancy times his moves so that he can take troops from Ivor. That is, Ivor starts to level up with Centaurs, and Clancy is ready to run to the city to upgrade the Elves.
112 The Seesaw I think this is a well-known mechanism. Clancy takes the Elves to the city red arrow. In the city, an improved dwelling is built, the Elves are upgraded, and another hero, Vocial, is bought - he takes the Greater Elves to Ivor blue arrow. Ivor, having received reinforcements, runs further along the road, clearing and taking everything interesting.
113 Since crystals are chosen as the starting bonus, and the weak heroes are not so weak, Pegasus are placed in the city. Clancy, who remains in the city, Ivor, who has run away, and Vocial, who remains between them, form a chain to transfer the Pegasus to the front line. That's what I do.
113 continuation Having received the Pegasus, Ivor finds a block between the spawns and clears them. (The blocks are difficult: a horde of Obsidian Gargoyles and Harpy-Witches. Therefore, I suffer losses. I didn't touch the Mummies, I think it's allowed by the rules).

This change of moves is quite acceptable. Further, everything depends on the reconnaissance. If interesting objects are found in the native spawn, then the main hero rushes to the starting city. If there are hidden treasures, Dwarf mines, etc. in the swamp spawn, then a chain of weak heroes is created to supply Unicorns to the swamp.
