I confirm – I lost a winning game.
And I started losing it in the first few days. I saw an opening with my secondary town – a group of high elves – I thought they were on snow, so I planned to defeat them with gargoyles, but I didn't take a rest. Especially since I got three of my own heroes. I immediately built 2 level 2 magic structures and attacked the grand heroes. It turned out they weren't on snow – they defeated me and took 50 gremlins.
I took the secondary town, built a carousel of heroes, and on the 1st turn, I lost to 49 ghost dragons – they drained my mana and finished me off. Then I gathered my strength, luckily my opponent was far away.
I built a level 5 town with a library, and I got teleport, explosion, flight, and regeneration. I found an Armageddon scroll. There were many battles – I was terribly inattentive, but magic ruled here, even without me.
And then my opponent ran halfway across the map – it turned out he had a stable and boots at his respawn point, and he had only one stable, and he was standing right on the edge of the shadow – he caught my main hero :(
