An iPod is a great player. Huge storage capacity and good sound, even with the default headphones.

You have modest requirements:D For example, listening to music with the default headphones on the subway is terrible; you can't hear anything, even if you set the volume to +50%.
By the way, +50% volume seems to be a buggy feature.
