When everyone dispersed, two people, resembling those who were seen near WhiteLizard's house yesterday, detached themselves from the crowd and went to a nearby restaurant for tea.

I have a feeling that this pair is none other than the sergeant and the sheriff.

If that pair really was the sheriff and the sergeant, then it seems quite reasonable that they killed Lizard the very next day. This means that Arandor was doing a good deed by killing the mobster (presumably, the lawyer), and is not guilty.

If you block Arandor and the maniac commits a murder, then the maniac is Rift, but most likely it's still Kash.

There is no evidence against Kash. Or do you think he hasn't killed anyone yet?

Just in case, we can hang Stan, Arandor, or Vortex.

Arandor cannot be hanged yet, as there is still a chance that he is the sheriff. I have also explained why I cannot be the maniac. I suggest hanging Stan.
