Basically, shouldn't we create a prison (meaning, instead of executing the defendant, we imprison them at the beginning, and only execute them when we are 100% sure (or rather, if the defendant hasn't proven their innocence...)))?

And then, sympathetic citizens will start flocking there with gifts, and they'll begin writing petitions to the mayor, asking him to show mercy and release the honest person on bail)))
Or maybe we should give the mafia weapons with half-empty magazines, so they can't be sure whether they'll kill their victim or the doctor will save her?) And we can present the maniac with an inflatable axe - after all, he's a maniac, so he should not only commit atrocities but also make people laugh to death at night.;)
