Regarding how many times the engines will be launched, it will definitely not be every day, but some number of times a year, because the sun is "exactly above the equator" not every day. What will happen to people while the planet is moving at such a pace?... And the finale - a satellite of Jupiter - do they even understand what kind of nonsense this is?! As soon as we move into Jupiter's shadow, we will all freeze!
