What makes you say that? I've only seen New Zealand through Might and Magic, but judging by that, it's just like here – with both sun and rain... although the climate is probably more maritime.

But here, we're having scorching heat right now. If you go outside, you risk being beaten by sunbeams So I'm staying home until evening.
