Looks like I hit a nerve?

Not quite:) The thing is that...mmm...the walkthrough for some quests in Morrowind is really boring and dull. But the plot itself may be a bit cliché (you are chosen and must destroy universal evil), but overall it is quite readable and enjoyable.

But it's a good RPG. Other modern RPGs have better engines, but they are bad (crappy). So, the plot is more important than technology, isn't it, amigo?

The plot can be written at any time. Well, more precisely, it shouldn't depend on time. In theory, you can write a super-plot at any point in time. (Well, what can you do, everyone is just chasing money now).
Graphics are just a wrapper - and therefore it is also important. It's just that nowadays many people only see the wrapper, and developers are also focused on that. This is sad. But...
If a game has a good plot, but lacks everything else, then it won't even be good. There must be a combination of text + combat system + character development system + visual design (graphics) + other (what I might have forgotten now).
If all components are at a good level, then the game can be called good or excellent. I'm not arguing that some of these components are more important than others, but they all must be present.

Revan, yes:) But most MMORPGs, if not all, fit your description O_O (I'm leaving 1% of hope:))
