After reading your messages, I feel like a complete idiot... I love the "Heroes" game, I've played it many times, but I completely don't understand the "professional slang": if it's not too difficult, please explain what a cheat, a patch, and other necessary terms are, or maybe write a link to a dictionary. I would be very grateful.
P. S. By the way, does anyone know how to activate the console?

I'm RomaShSh, a moderator (cleaner) of the Heroes 2 and 3 sections, and also one of the contributors to the glossary of terms!
A cheat is a code that, when entered, does something unfair (there are codes for gold, level, resources, creatures!). P.S. This is an unfair trick!
A patch is an official "patch" that fixes bugs or errors in the game! (see bugs below)
A bug is an error that can be funny (for example, a tank instead of a hero! there are minor bugs, like you having two trees instead of one, or bad bugs, like crashes! FREEZES! AND VARIOUS OTHERS!
