All items in the game can be divided into quest items and artifacts. The former are used in quests; it may be necessary to find them to receive a reward or permission to pass through a guarded area on the map. Artifacts are a more interesting type of item, as they can influence various parameters of the hero or their creatures. For example, an artifact can increase attack and defense, increase maximum mana, or enhance the power of magic; some artifacts contain spells of immense power that can only be used by a mage possessing such an artifact. Obtaining a powerful artifact is not easy—sometimes one must engage in grueling battles or embark on a long journey—but the result can exceed all expectations.
