I think it's better to leave all the castles as they are. Removing any of them might cause objections. Perhaps we shouldn't limit the time for a single save, but rather for the entire tournament, which lasts 3-4 months? I would keep diplomacy; it's not really that much of a cheat. However, navigation should be removed from the available options, since there is no water anyway.
