yes, level up the Commander skill and let one hero do all the walking! And if you're lucky with artifacts, your army should be enough, plus Darkness and Summoning should do their job!
I don't understand why you need a Death Knight if you have a neutral converter in the castle; it's enough to keep secondary heroes nearby!
