Examples of how to conduct complex battles (detailed turn by turn). Everyone must read this!
Bone, respect to you for testing!
Regarding the gnomish strategy against Barbarians, I think the tactic is designed for Throne of the Elements (TE), where morale is disabled for neutral creatures. In TE, starting as Vistan, players upgrade lizards to level 111 without hesitation (damage increases and ammunition is replenished), and without morale, they attack any gnomish settlement.
As for Shades of Darkness (SoD), the start is not as easy... and you need to be more careful with morale. It all depends on whether we need to take such a risk. It's easier in TE. I even managed to capture a max-level gnomish settlement as Fortress!
P.S.: If you're going to describe something, don't forget to include screenshots for clarity.
