Two empires – it’s still not enough. As history has shown, a bipolar world is unstable and sooner or later one of the empires collapses, resulting in a unipolar world. But even that cannot last long (the USA, although currently the only superpower, is unable to dictate its terms to the entire world; we are now living in a multipolar world, with Russia being one of its centers).
And although the Chinese are allies, they are rather questionable in the long run. They have nowhere to live, while our population is declining. And we have a sparsely populated Siberia.
