But in all seriousness, I see no point in burial. Traditions and so on—that's all well and good—but what is the actual use? It's the same thing every time: relatives arrive, and all they do iswhinegrieve. And for some, it's even an excuse to get wasted.
I wouldn't say I hate these vile little people who feign grief just to get drunk and perhaps scavenge something (there are such stupid rituals in some villages), but I do feel something similar. The last time I wanted to have a good cry (yes, old Kash still cries, regularly, once every 10 years), I felt ashamed because of this rabble, and my tradition was disrupted.
