Reports on online games and their confirmations (Spring 2009 season).
Archers not built, but near the castle there are 2 Dwarf Cottages and a Crypt—I decide to play. By the end of the week I find an Angels external dwelling in the lower edge of the respawn, but didn't have enough movement to take it on week 1. On day 1 week 2 I take 1 Angel from it. Galthran pops out from the Dungeon. I feared he would take the Conservatory, so I quickly return and expose myself. As it turned out, there was no need to worry—the Conservatory turned out to be max-level, to spite me. -In week 2 I took significant losses from Galthran, I buy myself out. Galthran leaves to restore mana and troops. I clear my own respawn with the remaining army. Realizing that without Logistics there will be little use from Valèska, I switch to Dessa, who studies Expert Air and Lightning. In week 3, secondary towns are Tower and Dungeon, the Conservatory is min-level, and Galthran takes the capital and the Angel external dwelling. At the start of week 4 I finally break the max-level Conservatory with the loss of an Angel and other troops, and try to escape with 0 mana but... Galthran catches me on the last step and immediately with Lightning for 225 kills the Angel. (Logistics, Boots, and Stables in my castle :smile32: ) I ransom in Dungeon and go into the treasure zone. Dessa's main striking force is magic, and mana melts with every turn. On one turn I badly blundered by attacking a horde of Monks guarding a Pandora's Box with 20 Griffins—the bastards shot down 2 Angels, and I didn't have enough movement to charge either :smile05: I took a couple of beehives, the Pandora's Box with Archers, then returned to replenish mana, but Galthran showed up right then and there, and I was afraid to stay in the Inferno secondary town. -I kill an Angel and leave -my scout hero kills 2 Horses and a Lich with Lightning I'm left without towns, but Valèska retakes the Dungeon a day later. I ransom there and leave with only Wyverns into the swamp treasure zone. -my Valèska-turtle without Logistics is caught in 2 moves by Gosh, she puts up a bit of resistance then runs, but I lose her because there's nowhere to ransom. Dessa in the swamp treasure zone finds all level 4 magic, takes a couple of beehives, a Cudgel, but didn't get to enjoy it long, as Gosh already had the Red Orb. -I attack while he has no Skeletons, but Galthran with the Red Orb :smile35: , and without magic Dessa couldn't win. And I so wanted to use the Light Chalice and Resurrection, with spellpower 19 and Sorcery... For the umpteenth time I'm convinced that mages in Heroes are underprivileged :smile06: -the final battle, Dessa falls defending the last town -our heroes at the end of the game Thanks for the game! You shouldn't give serious opponents your right to a color pick, especially not a Necro.
