MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine has posted a new message on Theliveline.com, a service that allows fans of the band to communicate with Dave by phone.

"It's been a great week, we've gotten a lot done," he said about the new album. "Today I recorded vocals for the new song "1320". We also did a lot of work on the choral parts, and Chris (the band's guitarist) played until he dropped.

There's one special song on the album, it will have an acoustic solo, a flamenco part - so when we were recording it, I said: "Dude, you need to slow down (laughs). You're playing too fast...".

MEGADETH's new album, which is reportedly coming out in September on Roadrunner Records, will be the first for Chris Broderick, who replaced Glen Dover in 2007.

Recording of MEGADETH's 12th album started on January 7th at Vic Garage, Dave's own studio in San Marcos, California.

The album will once again be produced by Englishman Andy "Undie" Sneap (ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE, EXODUS, MACHINE HEAD), who worked on the band's previous album.
