IRON MAIDEN

According to BANG Media International, the legends of English heavy metal and veterans of the heavy music scene, IRON MAIDEN, will begin working on a new album this year. The musicians hope to release a new album and return to touring by 2010.

Guitarist Adrian Smith comments: "Towards the end of the year, we'll start writing again, and at the beginning of next year, we'll start rehearsing and recording. After that, we'll go on tour again! Kevin Shirley (the producer) will also be working with us, and most likely in the same place where we recorded before."

The new IRON MAIDEN album will be the band's 15th full-length album and will challenge its predecessor – "A Matter of Life and Death," released in 2006, which was very well received by critics and often performed in its entirety by the band at concerts.

Adrian added: "After releasing a good album, you always feel a little pressure because you don't want to mess up when working on a new album, and that's a great motivation.

We're not complacent. We always try to reach the limit of what we're capable of. When the time comes and the new album starts to "demand" attention, we do what we have to do – we've been waiting a long time, and now we know what we're doing (laughs)."
