Oelm (blue, Castle, Valeska, Valeska) def numOne(red, Stronghold, Gurnisson, Gurnisson/Torgrim) 2SM4d(3) 143
Spawned on a poor respawn: a couple of gold piles and an ore mine, wood blocked by a horde of gogs guarding an artifact +1 to health. But I scouted and saw a decent secondary on grass behind a group of storms. I broke through with the loss of 1 bird and decided to play, even though the prospects were doubtful. :smile42:
The secondary turned out to be Rampart, I took a crypt there and farmed some resources for bears in the Castle. There was essentially nothing else to do there. I saw a treasure zone on the rocks and planned to go there on day 3.
On day 2, I broke through to another secondary (also Rampart), with a mini Griffin Conservatory, a Naga Bank, a Medusa Hovel, and a Gnoll Hut. In short, I got some extra cash, but almost everything was mini, and as Oelm says, there wasn't even a hint of money for a bear upgrade. There was also a Dragon Utopia on the second Rampart secondary, but it was over the mountains, and as the reveal showed, I had as much right to call it mine as my opponent did. :smile09:
In the end, he got it on turn 133. I was running around the stone treasure zone at the time, where the only good stuff was: 3 hives (2 mini and 1 pre-max), 2 boxes with 10,000 exp., a box with 30 ice crystals, a cloak +2 to speed, a Dragon Utopia with a pendant +3 to all stats, and Titan's Plate. However, on the way to the Dragon Utopia, I lost 2 bears to pathing and the hives bit my ducks. (In the previous game, the main hero was Tazar, didn't have time to switch to scrawny Gurn :). In the Dragon Utopia, I lost the remaining 4 bears and the only angel (they targeted them first, even though there was a feast of ogres and gnomes :smile32:).
And then Val breaks the ГО and captures a castle with 8 archangels and such. There was no point in continuing.
Thanks for the game.
