Regular equipment (not an artifact or relic) can improve a single stat (e.g., Strength) or skill (e.g., Alchemy) by a maximum of 25, and also provide an additional +10 to all stats. Can anyone tell me if this rule applies to the skills ArmMaster, Dodging, and Unarmed? I haven't been able to find an item that increases any of these skills by more than 12 for quite some time, which led me to believe that this is the maximum (which makes sense, given the significant bonus they provide). However, after obtaining a Grand Master Water spell, I enchanted a glove to +16 Unarmed. Has anyone else encountered this?
As far as I remember, the maximum for any numerical bonus in the game is 25, regardless of what it is, but the chance of obtaining it varies depending on the usefulness of the skill. So, if you want to, a Grand Master Water spell (preferably with more points invested in it) and save/load will help you. I, for some reason, never worried about this, unlike artifacts, although I distinctly remember once finding gloves with +25 Unarmed, even though I didn't have a monk in my party, and I sold them
