Where did people learn to play Heroes?

My former boyfriend taught me, and we played Heroes III non-stop for 4 years. Then we stopped playing for 4 years, but now I can't tear myself away from Heroes V; I feel like I'm seriously hooked and it's going to last a long time. P.S. I don't play any other computer games anymore.
