Could you please advise on how to find a town faster? Should I follow the road or go down into the dungeon?

Also, I have a question about leveling up Wolfshtein. Is there anywhere I can read about this?
I chose skills like Defense, Attack, Chaos Magic, and initially had Logistics (which turned out to be very useful because it gave me Plunder, and combined with the Refreshed Rune, it gave me Keen Mind).
I'm thinking about what else to take – Light Magic, Sorcery, or Education. Sorcery has appeared once, but I decided not to take it yet.
